Growth Lives in the Work You Don't Want to Do

Looking back at my own history, the biggest growth always came when I was doing the work I didn't want to do. Today is a short note to myself about exactly that.

The work I dread most

I hate filming YouTube videos — making content for content's sake (unlike this blog). Where the blog is me talking comfortably about what's on my mind, video feels like wringing something out of myself, and putting my own clumsy content out in public is genuinely embarrassing. But it's the easiest, fastest way to generate revenue in the US.

I do it anyway

I hate it, and I can't even stand to rewatch what I make — but today I forced out two more videos and posted them.

I want to become the king of marketing and sales.
